Soran fait son Cinéma

    One year ago, Tavga, Ali, San, Awat, Heshu and Hackar came to Paris to present their work to a prestigious panel of Documentary Cinema executives. But one of the filmmakers of Doku5 was missing: Soran Qurbani was in a Greek prison.
He has been arrested, crossing illegaly the Turkish-Greek border.
" Soran fait son cinéma " tells the story of  the trip of a Kurdish-Iranian filmmaker to England, where he wants to apply for a cinema school.

The story has a happy end: Soran got the political refugee status in UK, the film has been achieved with the help of Fulvia Alberti and the Doku team, and it will be soon (March 8th) broadcasted by France3 Corse TV channel and it has been selected by the Rencontres Cinéma de Manosque.

DoKu 7 in Baghdad and Sulaimaniyah in June

We organize a documentary cinema workshop in Baghdad (French cultural Center) June 16th to 22nd. A second session one month session will take place in September or October in Sulaimaniyah.
The workshop will be dedicated to "memories of a Nation" threw archives and web-documentary.
